January 21-22, 2012  Octagon Hall

Recently Lexington NC Paranormal Society traveled to Franklin, Kentucky. for an overnight investigation at the famous Octagon Hall. It's one of the few plantations which survived the Civil War. Now a museum, Octagon Hall has become known as one of the most active spots on the east coast for paranormal activity. It was built in 1847 by Andrew Jackson Caldwell. Caldwell built the mansion with eight sides, hence (Octagon) .

My experience there was one which I will remember. Teaming up with Fulton County Paranormal from Kentucky, we spent the entire night investigating. We had several experiences which we could not document as we were caught off guard. However, I did capture one event on infrared cameras which is shown in the video on the video page. I had one experience where my camera failed four times as I was trying to shoot pictures of the summer kitchen and the slave quarters around 11:30 pm. Each time I tried to snap a shot, the camera failed. Each time, I simply turned around and snapped a shot behind me and the camera worked fine. I called for Richard to come out and handed the camera to him and asked him to take some pictures of the two buildings and it resulted in the same camera failure. He turned around and shot pictures behind him and the camera, as with me, worked fine. Of course personal experiences we must discard because we can't document them. The experience at Octagon Hall simply cannot be put in words. You have to actually be there to understand. I am looking forward to going back in September 2012 for a two night investigation of this incredible mansion and plantation. These are memories I will always cherish. Working with Fulton County Paranormal was also memorable. The two teams combined and performed very well in an organized investigation. I'm looking forward to meeting up with them again in September.

  1. Some pretty designs alright. Doing the painting yourselves is more fun but a good place for ideas for more design is this site of wahooart.com, that I use to help with my wall decorations.
You can browse for a painting like this The tree, by 20th century Czech artist, Frantisek Kupka, for example, http://EN.WahooArt.com/A55A04/w.nsf/OPRA/BRUE-8LHUQV , that can be ordered on line and delivered to you.
